I first studied Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the Institute of Counselling and went on to study Coaching and Mentoring, and worked in the volunteer sector for many years. I became more and more interested in what makes us happy, how the mind works and how people cope when life throws them such painful challenges that we question our very existence. From this and reading other people's stories, I was determined to learn more and how much we can look into our inner selves with the use of therapies and how to cope with what life throws as us. I went on to study NLP and Nutrition having had an eating disorder, and then discovered hypnotherapy. We can't avoid lifes challenges, but with the right support we can learn to move through them to reach a new understanding of ourselves and live a happier and more enriched life. In my studies I can across the following saying which I live by and allows you to turn your life around in the most challenging circumstances.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to
pass .... but learning to dance in the rain.
